The recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump has sent shockwaves through the political landscape. Butler, Pennsylvania

On Saturday, during a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, former President Trump was on stage for less than ten minutes when a series of gunshots rang out. Trump was struck in the ear, and the quick response by Secret Service agents helped prevent further chaos. Despite the injury, Trump signaled to the crowd that he was fine by pumping his fist as he was helped off the stage.

The Aftermath

Shortly after the incident, Trump confirmed on Truth Social that he had been shot in the ear. His post described the bullet piercing the upper part of his right ear, resulting in significant bleeding. He ended his post with a patriotic note: “GOD BLESS AMERICA!”

The Shooter

The shooter, identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, a 20-year-old from Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, was shot by Secret Service after firing from a rooftop near the rally. Explosive materials were found in Crooks's car and home, indicating a potentially larger threat. Authorities are investigating Crooks’s motives, with the FBI considering it a potential act of domestic terrorism. The rifle used in the shooting was legally purchased by Crooks's father.
